In honor of Veteran’s Day, I took the opportunity of capturing what I thought summed up what this day stood for.

King's Chapel, Boston, MA - 2010.11.11

I found this old church while walking around the heart of Boston. King’s Chapel is used as an Anglican congregation, dating back to 1689. Next to King’s Chapel a is a burying ground and is actually one of the landmarks on the  Freedom Trail (near Boston Commons).

Boston has a rich colonial history. There are various historic landmarks such as Paul Revere’s House and the Freedom Trail. The place depicted above is Faneuil Hall, the old town hall. It is located across the walkway from Quincy Market (only the best conglomeration of tasty eateries). Faneuil Hall was the meeting place for town meetings. In 2004, John Kerry gave his concession speech on that stage. The whole room was pretty awesome: there were wooden benches on the floor, stadium wooden seats to the side, a 2nd floor balcony with more wooden stadium seating, colonial-style lights, and red, white and blue decorations everywhere.
